Who We Are
Not a travel company. The people who take you where others won't.
Not a travel company. The people who take you where others won't.
We're not a travel company. We're the people who take you to places most tours don't even know exist. At Borderless Expeditions, we specialize in remote, raw, and genuinely wild destinations that most people only see in documentaries.
We launched in 2025, but this didn't start in an office. It started in 2013, when our founder left his normal life behind and spent the next decade crossing over 90 countries. The Pamirs, Kamchatka, and yes, even Baikonur (we'll leave that story for around the campfire). He didn't just visit these places. He lived them.
Now we're sharing that access with you. Our focus is Central Asia: Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan's forgotten corners. No fluff, no tourist traps. Just real exploration.
Every expedition we run is built with locals, not just around them. The people who live in these mountains and valleys know things no guidebook will ever tell you. That's the kind of access we're talking about.
We go far without being reckless. Whether it's hiking the Wakhan Corridor or sleeping under Lenin Peak, we take safety and sustainability seriously. We try to leave every place better than we found it.
Travel, done right, changes how you see the world. Not because someone told you it would, but because you sat with a family in a Pamir homestay and realized how much you had in common. That's what we're building toward: real connections in places that still feel untouched.
We want to keep these places wild, and keep the communities in them thriving. Every trip we run is a small bet that curious travelers and local people can do something good for each other.
A few non-negotiables that shape every expedition we run.
We go where most tours don't bother. If it's on the beaten path, it's probably not our thing.
Every expedition supports the communities we pass through. Local guides, local homestays, local food: every euro stays close to where it was spent.
We go far. We also come back. Safety protocols, experienced guides, and proper preparation on every single trip.
We try to leave every place better than we found it, with less waste, more respect, genuine contribution to the places we visit.
